Do you deserve the royal treatment?
Who do you most admire as an artist? Martin Fröst, Ricardo Morales, Sabine Meyer, Eddie Daniels, Stanley Drucker, Anthony McGill?
Whoever it is, every single one of us brings to our craft different strengths and weaknesses as a musician, and as a result, these make each of us unique in our approach to getting to sound our best. While we may wish to sound like someone in particular, how we get the results we want is likely to be very different from that artist.
We all are searching for very similar things in our playing, yet how each of us arrives there is so very different. That’s what we are here to do at ROYAL Musical Instruments. We live to help you make equipment shopping more straightforward, easier to understand, and as a result of both, more affordable.
As part of that effort, we will be rolling out online education under our $1.00 Music For Good Club in partnership with Lisa’s Clarinet Shop, to teach you about voicing and what role it plays in equipment selection. Most clarinetists today want a dark sound but also, want color and flexibility. Our instruments are designed for this purpose. They are made to help you solve your playing challenge gaps at the intersection of your conflicting tastes between rich and dark, and colorful and flexible. Through our voicing course you will learn how to match your natural voicing with the right clarinet.
Through our 2-day intensive we will be launching this summer, we hope help demystify the hand selection process for you. This will help you become more aware of mechanically what is- and is not- fixable on a new instrument, what impact it has on sound when mechanically obstacle is resolved; and how to decide which clarinet is right for you as a result of the instruments natural voicing combined with your abilities.
Between our educational offerings and our handmade craftsmanship we want to help you achieve your expressive best.
So please join Music For Good and let us help you achieve the results you most want.
